Year 12 visit the Tower of London

On Monday 15th June, Year 12 history students visited the Tower of London. There, they attended a workshop led by Dr Kat Marchant, who delivered a session on Henry VIII’s power as seen through the tower. Eve and Valentina said, “The trip was informative and a great day out with our peers. Dr Kat’s tour educated us beyond what we learn in the classroom, giving us a deeper understanding of figures and events which brought the history to life.”

Will said, “Visiting the Tower of London was incredibly fun and beneficial for my learning. We had a tour from the wonderful Dr Kat who gave us an insightful look into how the tower links with our course. I also enjoyed the free time we got to explore the tower grounds and even see the Crown Jewels.”

A massive thank you to Dr Kat Marchant for her expertise, and well done to our Year 12s for representing the school so brilliantly!
