Year 10s enjoy extra field trip!
GCSE Geography students in Year 10 have enjoyed two field trips this term.
Firstly, they undertook a physical Geography fieldwork enquiry on a day trip to Dorset.
Their enquiry question was, “Does Hengistbury Head have effective coastal management?” Students were interested to experience this Scheduled Ancient Monument in person.
In addition, the Year 10s have taken part in a new GCSE field trip where they visited Stratford in east London.
This time their enquiry question was, “How sustainable is London's Olympic Park?” The trip included studying how recycled rain water is used to flush toilets in the East Village, which was formerly the Athlete's Village in London 2012. Students also had a fantastic view over the capital’s skyline with a visit up the Orbit Tower.
Both fieldwork studies are to help prepare students for GCSE Paper 3 in summer 2027.
