Winter Concert
A Wonderful Evening of Music at Our Winter Concert
On Wednesday 11th December 2025, the Music Department was proud to host our Winter Concert at Ruislip High School, and what a fantastic evening it was. From the moment guests arrived at 5.30pm and were welcomed by Eleni M’s beautiful piano playing, there was a real sense of excitement and anticipation in the room.
The concert featured students from across the school and showcased an impressive range of musical styles and talents. Confidently presented by Nicole G and Charlie H-B, the evening moved smoothly through a varied and engaging programme that kept the audience thoroughly entertained.
We heard outstanding performances from soloists, ensembles, bands, and our wonderful choir. The repertoire reflected the diversity of our students’ musical interests, spanning classical, contemporary, and popular music. From Chopin, Mozart, Rachmaninoff, and Tchaikovsky to Amy Winehouse, Green Day, Nirvana, and David Bowie, every performance was delivered with commitment, confidence, and clear pride.
Our choir brought warmth and festive cheer with their performances of Snowman by Sia and Can’t Stop the Feeling by Justin Timberlake, while the Concert Band provided a joyful seasonal finale with Do You Hear What I Hear, Overture from The Nutcracker, and Jingle Bells. These performances were a real highlight and a wonderful way to close the evening.
It was especially lovely to see so many of our GCSE and Sixth Form students performing with such maturity and professionalism, demonstrating the progress they have made and their dedication to music both in and out of the classroom.
The evening concluded with kind and encouraging closing remarks from Mr Davies, our Headteacher, who praised the students for their hard work and thanked staff and families for their continued support of music at Ruislip High School.
Our students truly made us proud with their enthusiasm, bravery, and musicality shone throughout the concert, and it was a pleasure to share such a special evening with our school community.
Thank you to everyone who came along to support the event. We look forward to welcoming you to many more musical celebrations in the future.
