WheelPower Sports Festival
On Thursday 6th November, five Ruislip High students attended the WheelPower Sports Festival, at the Aspire centre in Stanmore. The Middlesex WheelPower Sports Festival is an inclusive event for anyone with a physical disability to discover sport in a safe, welcoming and friendly environment and could be a fantastic opportunity for any physically disabled to join us at this great event.
Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to try out a range of inclusive activities, including Polybat, Volleyball, Wheelchair Tennis, and Kurling.
The focus of the day was all about having fun, learning new skills, and enjoying being active, rather than competing. Students loved the
experience and embraced the chance to try something different in a friendly and supportive environment. It was a fantastic day that celebrated inclusion, teamwork, and the joy of sport — with all five students representing Ruislip High brilliantly!
