The Friends of Ruislip High Team - Community Quiz Event

On Thursday 3rd July the Friends of RHS Team hosted a Quiz night at Ruislip High School. The evening also had the End of term raffle draw, where the Friends of Ruislip High Team had amassed an impressive array of prizes! Well done Harry W in Year 10 who won the top prize of an Ipad! Thank you also to everybody who supported the raffle and well done to the many prize winners. The raffle has generated over £1000, which we will be looking to spend on additional items in school to support and enrich the students' experience.

The quiz was a closely fought affair with parent teams, staff teams and a governors team. There were six rounds including a picture round, a company logo round, a July round, a Gen Z slang round (which a number of teams found hard!), a fake news round and a musical round. Many thanks to Miss Ohana for putting the quiz together and to Mr Randall who was an excellent quiz master!

The scoring was pretty high from all teams, however it was a teacher’s team that took the win with the SLT team just taking the victory by a few marks. Thank you to everyone who attended. It would be great to see an even greater attendance when Friends of RHS organise another event for the autumn term.

The Friends of RHS team had already been busy that week as they had a uniform sale just before the Year 6 parent meeting on Tuesday 1st July. They raised over £1000 in selling uniform and PE kit which again is a fantastic effort and will be used to fund additional resources and will benefit the students at RHS.
