PE Awards 2025

On Wednesday 9th July, 2025, the RHS PE Department proudly held its annual PE Awards Evening. At RHS, our aim is to give students the opportunity to develop their knowledge, understanding and skills across a range of sports and competitive situations. Some students have shown outstanding dedication, enthusiasm and commitment, which was recognised through Sports Colours and Special Awards presented by the PE Department. 

Sports Colours acknowledge both individual sporting achievement and a student’s role as a positive influence within the school. This year, eight Year 7s received Bronze, nine students were awarded Silver, one student – Nicolas – received Gold, and an incredible nine students were presented with the prestigious Platinum award for consistently representing their sport at District, Regional or National level. 

Then it was on to the awards, each of the winners being presented the award for their outstanding sporting achievements this year. All of the students who received an award at the event should feel very proud of themselves! The full list is below. 

Ms McGuigan, Curriculum Leader for PE, said: “We are very lucky at RHS to have so many students who are passionate about sport - both in school and pursuing their interest beyond. It was incredibly hard selecting the winner of these awards, but we hope that the winners this evening are proud of this achievement and keep up their excellent effort in sport.”

Overall, the evening was another event where the school community celebrated the outstanding efforts and dedication of our students. Thank you to all of the parents and staff who supported the evening and well done to all the winners.
