Kainos Virtual Work Experience Day
On Friday 14th November 2025, some of our Year 11, 12, and 13 computer scientistsĀ had the exciting opportunity to take part in a Kainos Work Experience Day, gaining hands-on insight into the world of technology, software development, and digital innovation.
The event provided students with a unique chance to explore real-world tech careers, develop practical skills, and learn from experienced professionals in a dynamic and interactive environment. Students participated in workshops, team challenges, and presentations, all designed to inspire creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration to work on web development technologies using Python programming language.
We are delighted to report that the day was very well received by students, who left feeling motivated, inspired, and more informed about potential future career pathways in the digital and technology sectors.
Richman K, C66, said: "I learnt so much about web development and coding in Python in one day that it was exciting. It also made me think of the various career pathways in computer scienceā.
A huge thank-you to Mr Joseph, Mr Shelley, Ms Hill, Ms Vora, Mrs Modi, Mr Rutter and Mr Hawkins who ran the event, ensuring it was a smooth, engaging, and highly beneficial experience for all students involved. Your hard work and dedication made this day a real success.
