Ruislip High School opened in 2006 due to the demand for secondary school places in the local community.  In its short history, Ruislip High School has become a school of choice; it is a school both in, and for, its local community.

In June 2018, Ruislip High School secured another excellent set of external examination results. At GCSE level, 74% of students attained 9-4 grades in both English and Mathematics and 50% for both 9-5 grades.

In 2018 the A-level Politics results were in the top 10% of results nationally. Citizenship is a compulsory GCSE for students at KS4. The school will also be offering Law A-level, as a new option, from September 2019.
