Student Volunteers Shine at Year 6 Open Evening 2019
Ruislip High School opened its doors to Year 6 students and their parents/guardians on Thursday 3rd October. As usual, an army of students stepped in to help! Students in Years 7 and 8 worked as subject helpers in each of the school’s academic departments. Older students in Years 9 and above acted as tour guides.
Headteacher Mr Davies delivered three talks in the main hall about the school’s vision and future plans, including the completion of a new wing in 2020 which will house a new Sixth Form area. Mr Davies wrote in his welcome address in the Open Evening booklet, “At the core of our school values is learning; we believe it is our collective responsibility to ensure that students fulfil their potential on an academic, personal and social level. At Ruislip High School, we never talk about talent. Instead we believe that hard work equals success.”
