Learning Supervisor, Learning Computer Centre LCC -

Salary: £17,741 - £18,960 (Grade 4 inclusive of Outer London Weighting)             
Hours: 35.75 hours per week 7:45am to 3:30pm (Monday to Thursday) and 7:45am to 3:00pm (Friday) (term time only plus five in-service training days)

Required for September 2018
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly effective individual to become our Learning Supervisor for our Learning Computer Centre (LCC).
This role will include supervising cover lessons for absent teaching staff in the Learning Computer Centre and in classrooms.  

The successful applicant will:

  • possess the necessary organisational skills to supervise the LCC room, ensuring cover work and resources are in place each day and contingencies if required;
  • be a role model to other cover supervisor(s) in the effective management of students including appropriate interventions;
  • plan and implement various learning strategies to help support students in achieving their potential;
  • develop good relationships with all students by establishing a positive, professional presence within the LCC.

Science Technician -

CLOSING DATE: Monday 24th September at midday 

Salary: £17,034 - £17,430 (Grade 3 inclusive of Outer London Weighting)
Hours: 36 hours per week term time only (plus five INSET days)

Required for September, 2018
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly effective individual to join our flourishing science department. The successful applicant will be part of a team of technicians who service the science, art, craft and design and also food and nutrition departments and have the flexibility to cover the other faculties if required.

The duties of the role include the preparation of materials, equipment and chemicals for lessons, caring for plants and animals, ensure the clearing and cleaning of laboratories, as well as art, craft and design and food and nutrition rooms as appropriate. Other duties will include advising on the stock of materials and undertaking inventory checks. The role will also include working alongside teachers to aid student progress. 

This is a varied role and would suit someone with laboratory experience (although not essential) and who is looking to develop their career as a technician.

The successful applicant will:

  • be resourceful and enthusiastic;
  • be able to work as part of a team and enjoy working with students and teaching professionals;
  • be able to demonstrate flexibility;
  • have energy, stamina and a sense of humour.
