School Office
We have now decided based on the information received and comments from parents to close the School Office at 5.00 pm from September 2009 When we set the School up three years ago one of the features was that we would ensure that there was someone in the School Office until the School closed for students at 6.00 pm. However, it would appear, like most all secondary schools, there isn’t a need for this as there has been very little demand. We have monitored the use of the front office after school, and in particular the period 4.30 to 6.00 pm, to ascertain what demands are being made on the office staff at this time. We feel that the period between 4.30 and 6.00 pm is not busy and that we would be better served by closing the school office at 5.00 moving the 1 hour per day saved to give us more man-hours when it is most needed, i.e. during the school day. Having run this idea passed parents we have now decided to close the School Office at 5.00 pm While the turnout was not great, 55, the indications are that an earlier closure to the School Office would not be opposed by too many parents, 71% of those who voted.
