RUISLIP HIGH SCHOOL'S OPEN NOW!

In a corner of a green in Sidmouth Drive

A building site began,

"Miller Construction to build new school"

Was how the headline ran

We went to the presentations

And looked around several schools,

But we all chose the building site,

People must have thought we were fools!

"It'll never be finished", was a common call,

And "You're too late for another place",

But we all held firm to the vision

Of a wonderful school in this space.

Already together we've achieved so much

We've already won matches at sport,

And so we can be remembered in future,

A time capsule's under the cobbled court.

We've created artworks and music,

Done well in inter school quizzes too,

And we're sure that our future achievements

Will totally amaze you!

So….builders, teachers, students,

All come and take a bow,

Because we can all proudly shout….

RIUSLIP HIGH SCHOOL'S OPEN NOW!!

Opening of the School

I am proud to be here at the official opening of Ruislip High School. I am going to share my thoughts and feelings of the amazing school.

Firstly I am privileged to be a student at this school the facilities here are of a much higher standard than other schools and will be appreciated even more as the number of pupils increases. Also as it is a new school every thing is clean and will stay like that for a long time as all the students treat the school with the highest of respect.

My fellow students are very well behaved and put a lot of effort in to what they do at school - especially clubs and after school activities.

I feel very pleased that the school is open and now there is an official date to remember it by.

Lastly I hope that in the future the time capsule will be discovered and the memories of the first year of Ruislip High school will be told to the generations of the future and remembered by the pupils who had the chance to experience the wonderful school days of Ruislip High school.
